Dr. Patrick Briggs earned his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco, California in 1998. He went on to complete a primary podiatric medicine and surgical residency at VA West Los Angeles (affiliated with UCLA). His surgical residency was performed in Houston, Texas and completed in 2001. He is board certified by The American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

Dr. Briggs has a passion for practicing cost effective, evidence based, and compassionate medicine. He believes many conditions can be treated conservatively. He realizes surgical care is often warranted, but should be thoroughly discussed with the patient.

Dr. Briggs is married to his wife of 4 years, who is an executive for an oil and gas. They recently relocated from Anchorage, Alaska where he was a member of a large Podiatric medical practice. Dr. Briggs specializes in all aspects of foot and ankle surgery including reconstruction, flatfoot, pediatrics, trauma, sports medicine and diabetic complications.

He has staff privileges at Clear Lake Regional Hospital, Southeast Memorial, United Surgery Center, Triumph Hospital, and Bay Area Surgery Center.

Dr. Briggs graduated from the University of Colorado with a BA in Kinesiology/Exercise physiology. He is an avid outdoors man and in his spare time enjoys competing in triathlons and playing golf. He also loves traveling and photography.

Dr. Briggs is excited to be back in Houston and a member of Texas Gulf Coast Medical Group.
