Family Doctor
 Dr. Terry Newman earned her medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. She completed her residency through the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB), Galveston. She began her practice in Clear Lake in 1990. Dr. Newman is board-certified by the American Board of Family Practice and is an active member of numerous professional associations, including the Harris County Medical Society, Texas Medical Association and the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Newman is a clinical preceptor for UTMB medical student rotation, which includes introduction to patient care. Dr. Newman's practice philosophy is to put herself in the patient's position and address her patient's concerns related to the illness and course of treatment. She attempts to anticipate her patient's concerns. Dr. Newman and her husband reside in the Clear Lake area and are the parents of a son. Dr. Newman is active in her church and its many programs, including community service activities. She enjoys spending time with her family, attending sports events, biblical studies and cooking. The Newmans are also very involved in their son's school, including projects, programs, extra-curricular activities, homework and reading with their son. They are firm believers in education and the need for parent contribution and involvement.
