 We are fully compliant with HIPAA requirements and standards and have met these requirements for many years. All personnel have passed HIPAA compliance standards tests.
We continue to upgrade our safeguards to ensure secure data exchange. Texas Gulf Coast Medical Group has high medical standards and is very sensitive to patient confidentiality and consent. Security is always a high priority, not only to protect from data or hardware loss, but also to ensure confidentiality. Physical security is maintained by an electronic keypad entry to the facility. Texas Gulf Coast Medical Group and ADT monitor this system . Servers employ power-on and user passwords, virus protection, and battery backup systems. Authorized users have restricted access to files. Operating System and security patches are current. Servers are constantly monitored for break-in attempts or other illegal activity. The database servers are not directly accessible from the Internet. Personal data storage is maintained with scrambled, de-identified numbers. Therefore, if security is breached, no personal data are recognized or accessed. Our web server is secured with intrusion detection software. Certified SSL encryption is available for web transactions through Thawte. |

WELCOME to our website, I hope your visit is enjoyable as well as informational.
Texas Gulf Coast Medical Group is a multi-specialty group located in Webster, Texas just south of Houston.
The group was formed in 1996 when 3 groups of physicians joined together with a goal to provide quality healthcare to the community. TGCMG is home to many physicians, ten Family Practice, one Internal Medicine, three Pediatricians, one Endocrinologist, one Podiatrist, and one Rheumatologist. In January 2007 we merged three locations and are now all conveniently located in a new state of the art Medical Office Building. With this move we are now centrally located in what is rapidly becoming a small medical center. We are within walking distance of Clear Lake Regional Medical Center, Triumph Hospital and many other physician offices. We are also expecting a new hospital to come to the area bringing a nine story 375,000 SF modern community hospital. This is very exciting for our community with construction already underway.

Your Online Doctor Saves You Time and Money
Patients of the Texas Gulf Coast Medical Group are now able to engage in “office visits” without leaving home with our online doctor.
Dr. Ralph Tharp, the founder of Texas Gulf Coast Medical Group, believes the practice is the first in the Houston area to offer virtual doctor’s office visits over the Internet.
The concept has been introduced in various parts of the country since the early 2000s, with major insurance companies getting on board with coverage in the last couple of years.
Dr. Tharp first heard of the idea through an electronic medical records software company.

The flu shot can be taken by almost any healthy individual over the age of 6 months but is especially recommended for small children, the elderly and pregnant women.
Medicare B and SOME other insurance companies will cover this cost.
